Thirdly, the food is overpriced for the quality. The food is decent, but if you’re dining on a budget, you may be dissapointed. While the large portions could help to justify the price, and the food is not even close to the price of food at some other restaurants in town, I find that the food and service is simply not worth the price. For instance, the burgers and cheeseburgers are far more expensive than those at similar restaurants in the area, as are the alcoholic mixed drinks. The strawberry daquiris are very weak, moreover, and don’t even taste good. The waiters and waitresses can also be inattentive, and my order has been messed up on more than one occasion. The food on the menu for lunch was mouth watering. Nick’s Lake House offers a variety of foods to choose from. Burgers, Fish, Steak, Salads, Pizza and more. No one was disappointed with the choices available. We placed our orders rather quickly as more than half of us are starving artists literally! We get hungry and want to be fed quickly. A few people ordered Grilled Reuben’s, one of us ordered a small personal Pizza, another had an Italian Sausage Sandwich and one of us ordered a burger with fries. I got to splurge on myself a little so I ordered a house spinach salad with sirloin steak medium rare.
